Job description

BBO Preschool is currently seeking to hire a Head Start Teacher that is caring, hardworking, self-motivated and able instruct children in activities designed to promote intellectual, social and physical growth. Every teaching candidate must love children, be team-oriented, cooperative and able work well with all staff as well as students and parents.

QUALIFICATION

Previous in Head Start, teaching, or child care is preferred but not required.

• Passionate about working with children
• Ability to build rapport with children & families
• Positive and patient attitude
• Must be able to pass a DCF level 2 background check
• Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field
• DCF 45 Hrs. Training (Preferred)
• CPR & First Aid (Preferred)
• CDA or Staff Credentials (Preferred)

The teacher will be responsible for lesson plans and coordination of various duties within the center while following all DCF, Head Start rules and regulations as well as all school policies and procedures.
